By the end of 2019, state-owned financial capital under Central Huijin's management had reached RMB 4.77 trillion. Central Huijin held shares directly in 18 financial institutions, the total assets of which were RMB 133 trillion. At the end of 2019, the total market capitalization of 11 publicly listed holding companies was RMB 6.74 trillion, and the market capitalization of shares owned by Central Huijin was RMB 3.02 trillion.
In addition to the institutions above, Central Huijin Asset Management Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Central Huijin, was set up in November 2015 in Beijing. Central Huijin Asset Management Ltd. has a registered capital of RMB 5 billion and conducts assets management business.Notes2:
On May 20, 2020, Central Huijin signed an agreement with China Everbright Group to transfer the 10.251 billion shares (19.53%) it holds in China Everbright Bank to China Everbright Group, and China Everbright Group will issue shares to Central Huijin as the consideration for the transfer. After the transaction, Central Huijin’s shares in China Everbright Group amounted to 63.16%, and the business registration of the change was completed on June 8, 2020. The transaction was closed on July 10, 2020 when a confirmation of share transfer was issued by CSDC. Central Huijin now no longer holds shares in China Everbright Bank.Notes3:
Jiantou Zhongxin Asset Management Co., Ltd. increased its share capital and in June, 2020, it was renamed China Galexy Asset Management Co., Ltd. The business registration of the share capital increase will be completed pending the approval of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. Central Huijin’s shares in China Galexy Asset Management Co., Ltd will decrease from 70% to 13.3% after the share capital increase.
